EAS provided topographical surveys and drainage advice for two neighbouring proposed residential development located at Burleigh Nursery and Burleigh Lodge, Hoe Lane, Nazeing.
Information was provided in order to discharge drainage related planning conditions set by Epping Forest District Council.
Parts of the development site were located within areas at low risk of surface water flooding and mitigation methods for the proposed dwellings within this area of the sites were proposed, included raising finished floor levels above surrounding ground levels, mains power outlets to be raised and more.
The surface water drainage strategy at both sites included the use of oversized pipes and lined permeable paving in order to provide adequate attenuation with a restricted discharge rate to the Nazeing Brook at close to greenfield runoff rates.
The proposed foul water drainage systems are proposed to utilise Klargester private treatment plants.
A Flood Risk and SuDS Statement was prepared to accompany the application to discharge the planning conditions on both sites. Following successful discharge of the drainage condition, construction has commenced on the Burleigh Nursery site.
