The site location is just outside of the Watford Gyratory. Whilst the gyratory is heavily car dominant the location is very accessible to public transport (buses and trains) as well as a lively town centre.
To demonstrate the level of accessibility the PTAL methodology used throughout London was employed and a bespoke calculation completed. This was well utilised as the site had a lower than standard level of car parking.
The car park itself was a decked multi storey arrangement with tight manoeuvres and ramp. EAS undertook a great deal of the design work. Ultimately the site was sold to another developer once planning permission was granted. EAS remained as part of the project team and discharged planning conditions and undertook detailed highway design work.
