The development of 149 apartments on a former light industrial site, set within a desirable and sustainable location in Sudbury Hill, Outer London.
This scheme involved the redevelopment of the former light industrial site into residential use, including 149 residential units, set within four residential blocks ranging in height from 4 to 9 storeys. The scheme includes alterations to existing vehicular access as well as a new pedestrian access from Wood End Gardens, basement level car parking, a car club space, cycle parking, refuse storage and service areas, as well as communal amenity spaces and landscaping.
EAS was involved from the preliminary scheme development phases of this scheme, including the commissioning of a parking survey, the preparation of the Transport Assessment reviewing the impacts by the said proposals, as well as the sustainability of the local area through a Healthy Streets and Active Travel Zone Assessment. EAS has also developed the Green Travel Plan and the SuDS Drainage Strategy, as well as operational documents such as the Construction Logistics Plan and the Waste and Servicing Management Plan.
EAS’s involvement continued through the application process, to tick off highways concerns, such as improvements to active travel infrastructure around the site, as well as providing input to install a car club space as part of the scheme.
Planning permission for the scheme was granted in October 2022.
