Sustainability Lead
Ollie Eggenton
Ollie began his career in property law before transitioning to sustainability, where he now specialises in supporting developments at the planning stage. His work encompasses the preparation of Energy and Sustainability Statements, Whole Life Cycle Carbon Assessments, and Circular Economy Statements, providing a structured approach to sustainable development. With a background in advising office fit-out companies, pension funds, and commercial asset managers, Ollie has extensive experience in developing sustainability and ESG credentials across a range of sectors. His role also includes assisting organisations in the measurement and reduction of carbon emissions and in the development of ESG strategies, fostering a commitment to transparent and accountable reporting.
Ollie has contributed to a wide variety of projects, from minor developments to large-scale schemes, both within and beyond the Greater London Authority (GLA) jurisdiction. His approach to sustainability consistently aims to exceed Local Planning Authority (LPA) requirements in a practical and feasible way, often integrating social sustainability elements. This includes partnerships with local schools and charities close to development sites, strengthening community engagement and promoting long-term benefits. Ollie’s focus remains on reducing operational and embodied carbon emissions and on creating schemes resilient to climate impacts. Ollie believes that a balanced approach to sustainability should not only address environmental standards but also consider the health, well-being, and social value for communities.
