Energy and Sustainability Statements

Energy and Sustainability Statements are required for developments to demonstrate how they will meet energy efficiency and sustainability targets set by local policies and national standards. EAS prepares detailed Energy and Sustainability Statements, assessing the project’s energy demands, carbon reduction strategies, and sustainable design features. Our team draws on extensive experience in sustainable development and energy modelling, ensuring that your project complies with all relevant regulations and contributes to environmental ambitions.

Whole Life Cycle Carbon Assessments

Whole Life Cycle Carbon Assessments evaluate the total carbon emissions of a development from construction through to end-of-life. We conduct comprehensive assessments to identify carbon reduction opportunities across all phases of a project. By analysing materials, energy use, and disposal, we ensure that developments meet carbon benchmark targets, underpinned by methodology compliant with the GLA (Greater London Authority) and RICS standards. This is a relatively new requirement and is slowly becoming more commonplace; with all major developments in London requiring this assessment, and most emerging local plans outside of London now referring to embodied carbon.

MEES

EAS work with a preferred partner to provide guidance on compliance with MEES (Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards). This includes modelling of existing commercial assets and creating pathway to achieving an EPC rating of B, as per the proposed MEES regulations. Our partners can price the necessary building upgrades and manage the project from start to finish if required. Additionally, we offer the option to align retrofit strategies with CRREM (Carbon Risk Real Estate Monitor) to support long-term carbon reduction efforts.

Carbon Reporting and SECR

EAS provides Carbon Reporting and SECR (Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting) services to help organisations meet regulatory requirements and improve energy performance. We work with businesses to prepare comprehensive reports on energy use and carbon emissions, ensuring compliance with SECR regulations.
