Planning applications in Epping Forest have since early 2021 been requiring a Habitats Regulation Assessment (HRA), part of which (Step 1 of the HRA Methodology) includes estimation of the net change in vehicle trips routing through or within 200m of the Epping Forest SAC (Special Area of Conservation).

Being situated in close proximity to Epping Forest and hence with lots of past clients in the area, EAS has been frequently undertaking this element of the HRA process for various land uses since its inception in 2021 and we are thus well versed with the Council’s requirements for HRAs.
