The initial application was for 97 units at this sensitive location in Borehamwood. The site is recognised as accessible based on Hertsmere SPG for parking but is in an air quality corridor.
Initial proposals met the lower end of the parking policy in terms of number per unit. When the scheme was uplifted the parking numbers were reduced further. A supplementary Transport Assessment was undertaken to support this as well as a Lambeth Style Parking Survey.
Off site highway capacity modelling was completed although the data was primarily used for air quality purposes once converted to AADT format.
EAS are the travel plan coordinator for this project. The scheme was granted planning permission in 2020.
